At TISE 2016, Milliken builds upon its 150-year tradition of meaningful innovation by introducing new floor coverings that help create inviting homes in which to build family legacies. Two popular residential collections, Imagine and Hardanger, have been expanded to include new scales and patterns of global heritage, mirroring our own celebration of 150 years of Milliken.
The expanded collections will help customers create comfortable and timeless homes, representing our tradition of nodding to the past while designing for the future. Both collections, designed by Milliken Senior Designer Ginny Jones, capture the creative and pioneering spirit that defines Milliken’s legacy.
Aligning with our dedication to environmental sustainability, both collections are PVC free and manufactured using 52% renewable energy. The floor coverings are also designed for maximum performance. High fiber twist durability, AlphaSan® antimicrobial defense, and MilliGuard® stain protection ensure that they stand the test of time.
“We’re proud of the strengths that have been woven into the fabric of our company, which allow us to improve the daily lives of our customers,” shared Jones. “Through floor covering and sustainable innovation, our legacy as a company is becoming a part of our customers’ homes – sacred places where they build their own legacies and carry out family traditions.”
The Imagine collection elevates residential patterned carpet by layering pattern, delivering a versatile collection that works in any décor. Imagine boasts eight new designs with exciting and relevant new patterns. Artful Legacy and Past Modern patterns reinvent traditional Persian ornament through modern distressing techniques. Cloud Bank (above right) is inspired by the moody paintings of English artist William Turner. Corita, Story Line and Cloister all find their roots in Asian architecture and ornament. Palmas and Relic (above left) celebrate the cultural heritage found in African dyeing and weaving techniques.
Hardanger, part of Milliken’s famed Constantine Collection and featured in Azure Magazine’s 10 Best Bets of KBIS and TISE, consists of richly textured, luxuriously constructed floor coverings. The collection’s texture and designs nod to the Nordic form of embroidery by the same name. Inspired by traditional fabrics that reflect warmth, comfort and craftsmanship, a foundation of chunky knitted cables is layered with color and pattern reminiscent of Hardanger squared stitching. For TISE 2016, we've expanded the collection with three new small- to mid-scale designs, including Crosstalk (shown above).
If you’re attending Surfaces, join us at booth 502 and experience the beauty and luxury of these texture-rich floor coverings first hand. We hope to see you there.
